“Digital dialectics suggests that everything is digitally compress … and so does color. Saturation, hue, and timbre create a unique image that is not very similar to analogue, so I agree with the idea of a new imagery Digitally speaking in subtle ways and often creating a completely different perspective, Moreover, all the photographs of this exhibition were taken with a Leica rangefinder and a 135mm Apo-Telyt M. I wanted the long focal length perspective intentionally continue to pursue.
When asked if I prefer working in black and white or color, I reply that I enjoy working in all three areas. (S. Black and white are also colors …). With the opening of Digital Color, I’m looking forward to celebrating my 80th birthday in Los Angeles. My hometown, with Leica, my favorite camera. – Ralph Gibson
